Scenario:

I would like a more concise list of production jobs in APS. Currently I see all jobs irrespective of their start date vs my planning interval as well as seeing on hold jobs that should not be scheduled. Can I manage these based on dates and/or status?

Solution(s):

You can manage what jobs are visible in APS based on various criteria.

  1. Open APS
  2. Select Settings from any menu
  3. Navigate to Job import and rules
  4. General tab allows the following selections: Time loading based on start or end date, Planner loading or location loading
  5. Move to the Production tab to load production orders based on status
  6. Move to the MRP tab to amend imports rule for MRP orders by status
  7. Select OK

You can also manage MRP Imports and rules within the Materials Planning settings.
