Scheduling with Split Tasks

The Split Tasks function will utilise any free space in the schedule even if it means that the operation/job will be started and stopped before completion. For example, imagine that a shift is from 8:00 to 14:00 and an operation is scheduled from 10:00 to 11:00 and another operation is scheduled from 12:00 to 13:00. If a 2 hour operation is scheduled to start from 09:00 with split tasks enabled, the operation will be split to start from 9:00 to 10:00 for 1 hour and then from 11:00 to 12:00 for 1 hour.

To Split Tasks

1. Manually schedule operations 1 and 2 for the same work unit so there is a 1 hour gap before and after each operation.  Operations 1 and 2 should have a duration of 1 hour each.
2. Enable the Split Tasks option from the Schedule Tab
3. Manually schedule operation 3 which has a duration of 2 hours, so that it starts 1 hour before operation 1
