My planning interval is set at 12 weeks, so why can I see jobs due after this period?

Consider using workflow filters to quickly filter on the production job list. You could use these to separate jobs based on whether the scheduled due is short, medium or long term. 

Scenario:

My planning interval is set at 12 weeks. My production job list however shows jobs that have both a start and end date past my 12 week interval. I don't need to see this far out.  
 

Cause(s):

By default APS loads all production jobs regardless of their start and/or due dates.
 

Solution(s):

APS does however have the ability to control what we load into APS based on start and due date along with other criteria such as job status. 

1. Select Job Order Settings from the manage tab within APS
2. Select Job Import & Rules
3.  From here you can check Selective time loading to load only jobs within your planning interval  
4. Select OK

You also have the ability to enable Selective planner loading or Selective location loading. These can be enabled by checking the corresponding box and adding a line with the relevant code. Moving through the tabs in this area also gives you the option to determine which production and MRP jobs should be loaded based on their status. This is particularly useful should you wish to only load confirmed production jobs or perhaps exclude all MRP jobs.
