You can also password protect workbench elements. This is often a good compromise when employees may need to use a function but should get authority to do so first.

Problem:

I would  like to control which employees have access to certain buttons and therefore the ability to perform tasks such as material issues or change machines to downtime status. Is this possible?

Solution(s):

LYNQ provides the option to set access control on each element. This allows for content on terminals to differ based on access granted. To control access to particular elements you must first ensure that you groups in seat maintenance are set up to incorporate this. You may need to add additional groups to use for access purposes. The below steps detail how to set access control for on screen elements:

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Advanced Settings
  3. Locate the element that we will apply access control to
  4. Check and select edit
  5. Check Access control
  6.  Use the look to select groups and grant access.
  7. Select Save
