Attaching files to items (stock code) when this is no current job for the item

Question:

Is there a way to attach files to items (stock code) without having to generate a job for them first?
 

Answer:

Yes, this is possible if at least one job already exists in the system. You will need to add a new item to the default LYNQapi configuration:

1. Visit MOM Settings > LYNQ api Settings and click Open button

LYNQ api homepage should open.

2. Click on Administration button in top right corner and click Entity settings link:

3. Double click on desired row, e.g. SM JobView

4. On the following screen select Relations and expand the File attachments node

5. Click Add button and tick ItemCode only 

6. As a result you should see this:

You can now go to the document management and you should see a new link. Select a job and Click Add file to stock code.

All jobs will now have this attachment.
