You may also wish to review the Refresh interval. By default this is turned off.

Problem:

When the Use timeout setting is enabled, the workbench screen will return the user back to the clock in screen. This setting is similar to the functionality of a Windows screen saver. The workbench will perform this action when the inactivity period exceeds the predefined value. The  requirement for employees to log back in each time they need to access the workbench is a common frustration when employees have their own devices to collect data, and similarly when many employees share the same device it is often requested that this times out sooner.

Solution(s):

Each terminal has it's own Terminal time out setting - requirements can vary by department.

Follow the below steps to amend Terminal time out settings

1. Select Terminal Maintenance

2. Check the terminal in which you wish to amend and select Edit

3. Check or uncheck Terminal timeout (sec) to enable or disable

4. If you wish to extend or enable the interval amend the value (in seconds) accordingly

5. Select Save
