Top Tips
Think carefully about how you set alternative groups. If a work unit is in more than one alternative groups then then the entire groups also become alternatives of each other. For exceptions to the rule try editing the work unit for the operation on the fly.

Problem:
I have multiple work units in a single work center. APS will not allow me to schedule an operation to any of the work units other than the one specified in the routing.
Cause(s):
- APS will only allow scheduling to the specified work unit by default, even if there are other work units within the wok center.
Solution(s):
- To schedule to alternative work units, irrespective of whether they are part of the same work center, you will need to set up alternative groups. Please see related articles for further information
- If an alternative group is set up ensure use alternatives is enable from either the Schedule tab or Settings.
