Not seeing a new work unit?
You must refresh the data in Visual APS if you have created a new work unit in Enterprise Resource Planning.

A work unit is the equipment element within the work centre.  Work units are imported into Visual APS from Enterprise Resource Planning.  Once imported you can use the Work Units function to view or edit any work unit properties.  Different Enterprise Resource applications may refer to work units by a different name.  Refer to the glossary in the LYNQ mom help menu, for an accurate definition.

To view or edit the properties of a work unit

  1. Select the Home Menu
  2. Select Work Units
  3. Select Machine View
  4. Adjust the Work Unit properties in the grid view

To provide better integration with Enterprise Resource Planning, it's advisable to import them using the Import Function from the Home Menu.  You can also create work units directly in Visual APS.  However, these will not be integrated to Enterprise Resource Planning.
